There was a long-standing tradition of playing golf on Doug’s birthday - May 1st. We want to share that experience with you and that’s why we have arranged for Eastmoreland Golf Club to be the site of the first annual Sir Douglas Darroch Memorial Golf Tournament Monday - May 1, 2023 . Eastmoreland has a lovely clubhouse/restaurant space, so we will also do the Portland “Celebration on Life" for Doug there, immediately following the tournament. Starting at around 5 pm, there will be live music (we all know how much Doug loved live music!), as well as food/beverage service (requires donation), and a slideshow/video tribute to our dear friend. You can participate in any or all of the festivities as follows: - playing in the golf tournament (12n-5pm) $69 (Greens fees & Cart) - the golfer’s barbecue (5:00 - 6:30pm) $35 (includes dinner, appetizers and (1) hosted cocktail) - come and raise a glass to celebrate Doug! (6:30 - 8:30pm) $15 (appetizers, No host bar.) There will be live music starting at 5 pm, as well as a video featuring photos and videos of Doug and friends.
