PARENT CON 2023(Celebrate, Equip, Connect) Celebrate: Parents- you know all you do- getting kids to school, clubs, down for naptime, prepping meals, even planning family vacations can be exhausting- the rush never ends! While we all know that parenting is the greatest thing ever and we wouldn’t trade our kids for anything- sometimes it feels like there is just no appreciation! Well we want to take a day and show you some appreciation for all you do, in fact at Parent Con we want to celebrate you! There will be tons of fun and free lunch in your honor! Equip: Parents- every one of us has this idea in our heads of how things are supposed to be. . . how things would work if we were better parents- the parents we wanted to be. But the truth is there is no such thing as perfect parent! But what if I told you there are simple things that you could learn that would make parenting so much easier. . . Come to Parent Con and invest in your parenting- we will explore principles from the Bible that every parent needs to know- who knows you might even learn something that brings you a step closer to being the parent you want to be! Connect: Parents- every time our kids hit that next age and stage- we have to start all over again figuring out what it is that they need to succeed. It can be overwhelming because they grow so quickly and things are so different so fast. Put on top of that the fact that we live such busy lives with little time to pick our heads up for a breath and we can feel pretty alone- like- “is no one else dealing with this situation that I am dealing with!?”. Come out to Parent Con and connect with other parents whose kids are going through the same stuff your kids are going through- talk over lunch with parents who have survived and maybe even have the scars to show for it. There will even be a special time to connect with parenting resources from Oak Ridge and our local Community- so we can know we don’t have to do this parenting thing all alone. Come out to Parent Con 2023- for a day designed just for you- Parents! Sorry, we are unable to provide childcare for this event.
