Spring is in the air! Prepare by making yourself a pair of open-toe sandals. I call these shoes "dance sandals" because the ankle strap keeps them securely on your feet. Embellishment of the sandals is encouraged - I have a beautiful range of colors to choose from for both the sandals and appliqués you might add. You can paint, use markers, punch designs, add metal decorations, tool or carve to embellish your sandals. Of course you can leave them unembellished - perhaps you would like the front and back of the sandal to be made from different colors of leather, as well as the strap. These sandals will be minimalist, no padding, arch supports or heels, and ecological. All the leather is repurposed and the soles will be made from conveyor belt or recycled sheet soling.
