Please Join the Georgetown/Scott County First Responder Community in participating on May 13th 2023 for the Memorial RUCK/WALK in honor of Fallen Battalion Chief Johnnie Jacobs. All are welcome to attend this Fun Family Event regardless of your fitness level. All Proceeds will go to the creation of a Firefighter Memorial at the Georgetown Fire Department in honor of Johnnie Jacobs. This event will consist of a 5 mile WALK or RUCK throughout the City of Georgetown. 3 stops will be made along the way at local first responder stations for rest OR an honor WOD (Workout of the Day); your choice. The event will start and finish at GFD Station 3 on Jacobs Way (formerly Airport Rd). Kids and Strollers are encouraged to attend and participate. Ruckers may use any weight amount they choose. Any first responders may also use job specific weight if they so choose (i.e. SCBA, Ballistic Vests, or EMS Backpacks). Just Remember: No Running and Have FUN.
