A poker crawl is a pub crawl with a twist: pick a lucky card at every stop to make the best poker hand! From 11:00 am to 3:30 pm, participants will be “crawling” to six south Elmhurst establishments (HB Jones, Riley's, Spring Inn, Cuvee, Bottle Theory and Docs Victory Pub) to make their best poker hand. Players will have the chance to win prizes and have fun eating, drinking and socializing along the way. Proceeds will benefit the Ray Graham Association.Poker Crawl Rules:Players are responsible for picking up and keeping track of their indvidual scorecards. Players can only draw one card per Poker Stop. All draws must be validated by a Poker Stop staff member. The Poker Run route must be completed in 4 hours including stops. Players should pick up their scorecard and map at the first Poker Stop (HB Jones). If a player is unable to pick up its scorecard in time, find an EJWC member at the subsequent Poker Stops (Riley's, Spring Inn, Bottle Theory, Cuvee etc.) to coordinate pick up. At each Poker Stop, Players will draw one card from a bag containing a full deck of cards without jokers (52 cards). The Poker Stop staff member will place a unique stamp on the scorecard for the rank and suit of the card drawn. The playing card will be returned to the bag so that the full deck remains together.Players must proceed to each Poker Stop in order to complete their poker hand. Only one card can be drawn per Poker Stop.The final Poker Stop is Doc's Victory Pub. Players will draw their final card at Doc's. In order to qualify for prizes and raffles, all cards are required to be turned in for validation at Doc's no later than 3:30 p.m. No exceptions.Standard poker hand rankings will be used to determine the winners. Prizes will be awarded to best hands and the worst hand! Winners will be annouced by 4:00 p.m.Tickets:Participants are responsible for purchasing beverages along the way. Each of the Poker stops will have a speciality drink available as well. What is included with the cost of your ticket? Poker Run Rank of Hands:Five of a Kind: all five cards of the same rank (eg: 7, 7, 7, 7, 7).Royal Flush: 10, J, Q, K and Ace of the same suit.Straight Flush: all five cards of the same suit and in sequence, such as the 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 of diamonds. The highest ranking straight flush is a royal flush.Four of a Kind: four cards of the same rank (eg: 7, 7, 7, 7, 4). If the best ranking hand is a four of a kind, the higher unmatched 5th card wins.Full House: three cards of one rank and two cards of another rank (eg: 7, 7, 7, 4, 4).Flush: all five cards of the same suit, but not in sequence.Straight: five cards in sequence, but not all of the same suit.Three of a Kind: three cards of the same rank (eg: 7, 7, 7, K, 3).Two Pairs: a hand with two pairs and the two pairs are of different ranks.One Pair: a hand with two cards of equal rank.Note: Ties will be broken by cutting a deck and drawing a card. High card drawn will determine final winner. Aces are high.
