Combine history and crafting with a 2-hour Cyanotype Crafting class!
Learn how to make art prints using the cyanotype process, a historic development process which produces beautiful blue prints with brilliant highlights. In this class, you will learn about the history of cyanotype, the chemistry involved, and create an art print you will take home with you at the end of the lesson. All ticket sales benefit the Chattanooga Historical Society.
Supplies are provided; students can bring their own print materials but some will also be provided, including flowers and other objects and negatives. Cyanotype is a contact process, so print materials can range from physical objects to large format negatives. If you would like to use a digital image, please send us the image at least 7 days before your class so that we can prepare a digital negative for you.
