In this class brought to you by CalFresh Healthy Living and Nevada County Public Health, we will explore our current food environment which can be tricky to navigate – it’s not always easy to find healthy food choices or sort through messages about health and nutrition. In this class we will discuss how to identify healthy food choices by using the Nutrition Facts Panel and ingredient list, evaluate health claims and food marketing techniques, and outsmart the grocery store. Class includes a recipe and tasting. This will be an in-person class.
