Join us for a day of discussion, education, and action! The 2023 Smokefree SC Summit will be a continuation of our conversation from last year. We will have speakers from The Truth Initiative, American Cancer Society, The Center for Black Health and Equity, ChangeLab Solutions, SC DHEC, and other prominent partner organizations. This year, we will discuss disparity in vulnerable groups such as our rural, behavioral health, and Black communities. We will learn more about local policies and their effect on health equity. A QuitLine update will be provided. We will review the recent SC Legislative Session decisions in tobacco prevention and control – Preemption/Tobacco Retail Licensing – and talk about next steps. We will discuss a new collaboration between SC DHEC and ChangeLab Solutions and learn of the equitable conversations that have started at the local level in different regions of the state. Summit attendees will be able to collaborate and network with peers and DHEC staff from their region. This will be a wonderful day of development and advocacy. You don't want to miss it!
