Tickets $15 in advance. $20 at the door. On July 15, 2023 from 2-10pm the Chelsy Marise Giles Foundation will be holding the second annual Chelsyfest in memory of our fierce Chelsy. Chelsy was a force to be reckoned with. Her playful spirit and infectious laugh made her an instant delight to anyone she met. Despite being born with epilepsy and regularly enduring grand-mal seizures, suffering was not in Chelsy’s vocabulary, and she lived her life as if every cloud would soon give way to the sun. Across her 35 years on this planet, Chelsy touched countless lives in Athens (and beyond) with her undiscriminating compassion and expansive heart. In addition to celebrating Chelsy’s life, Chelsyfest has a targeted mission in partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia: to promote epilepsy education and awareness in the Athens, GA area and to provide people in Georgia living with epilepsy opportunities to learn life skills to cope with their disorder.
