A non-profit organization dedicated to promoting unity and strengthening the community through the arts, Birmingham Folk Festival, Inc., believes that music is a powerful tool for bringing people together and celebrating the diversity of our community. Join us this year for performances by the
Pine Hill Haints, Little Lee, Sahi On Ko Djony, Janet Simpson and Will Stewart, the Allen Tolbert Unit, and Memphis gospel soul queen Elizabeth King
– plus jam sessions, arts and crafts, food trucks, face painting, hip hop education, and a drumming workshop. Brought to by the Magic City Blues Society, Cahaba Brewing Company, the Shed Series, Seasick Records, Mom’s Basement, Birmingham Mountain Radio, the Alabama Folk School, the Alabama Waldorf School, and a host of community members and partners.
