Conscious Capitalists believe that businesses can and should be a source of good in the world, creating value for all the stakeholders they serve … not just investors or shareholders. How can we apply this philosophy to the business of real estate development? In this panel, founding board member Haley Boehning will interview three local leaders trying to do just that: entrepreneur, attorney, and real estate investor Otto Beatty, Kaufman Development’s Ian Labitue, and Jeff Beam from The Community Builders. We’ll talk about how the industry should address historic barriers to access and equity, and how approaching each step in the real estate development lifecycle with a stakeholder orientation can help ensure we create value not just for investors but for employees, employers, and residents alike.
