"For the last 150 years, the Cincinnati Observatory has been inspiring generations to Look to the Stars. Perched atop Mt. Lookout, its Samuel Hannaford designed building, celebrates its 150th anniversary on August 28, 2023. On exhibit will be artwork of the building, artifacts from the Observatory’s collections, and the history behind the National Historic Landmark Status. This exhibit will run from May 6, 2023, until October 1, 2023. The second of three in a series of ephemeral exhibitions at the Cincinnati Observatory in 2023. The official opening will take place on Saturday, May 6th from 12:00-3:00 pm. This open house style event will give the public access to our new exhibit space. Solar viewing will take place through our historic 1845 telescope, weather permitting. General Admission for the public is just $1.50. Free for members!
