Inspired by the Scituate Art Festival, which began as a fundraiser, and the Johnnycake Story Festival, which benefited the Jonnycake Center in Peacedale, HOPE LIBRARY has reached out to the American Story Theater to host the first annual Scituate Story Festival as a charity event for HOPE LIBRARY.
The festival will take place Friday, June 23 from 6 to 8pm and Saturday, June 24 from 12 to 6pm. Storytellers from across the US and Rhode Island will perform several story concerts, each with its own theme.

Tall Tales and Spooky Stories at 6pmSaturday’s sets include:
Lunch and Laugh at 12 noon, Family Friendly Storytelling at 1pma FREE workshop for aspiring artists at 1pma FREE Story Swap and Poetry Slam at 3pmAwesome Adventure Tales at 4pm Dangerous Stories at 5pm. There will also be a large outdoor market with booths featuring local artisans, authors, and restaurants. There is no entrance fee for the festival market.
Festival tickets to attend all events on Friday and Saturday are $40. Friday's tickets are $15. Saturday's tickets are $30. Individual story concerts on Saturday are $10 each.
