We lost our Skylar on 06/02/21, at the age of 16 to an undiagnosed autoimmune disease. Skylar was an incredible kid that had to overcome so much in her short life. Skylar was very open about her struggles with mental health and even sought treatment in an inpatient facility that she researched and found herself. When Skylar passed, we decided to create the Skylar Cantarella Memorial Fund through the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation to help kids that need mental health treatment and insurance will not cover it. (We personally had to fight long and hard to get Skylar's treatment covered and we know that others aren't as fortunate.) All proceeds from this event will fund the Skylar Cantarella Memorial Fund through the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
