** This event is ON rain or shine.*** THE SANCTUARY on Crystal Lake is opening up the season with a Spring Clean Up! Join us on 4/15/23 from 10 AM to 2 PM. Welcome all, and welcome back! The Sanctuary is a Black, Asian, Indigenous, and Latinx centered healing garden working to activate community connections through land, food, wellness and art. Crystal Lake is a recreational forest, including a catch-and-release lake and the Snake Hill hiking trail, located in the heart of the city of Newburgh. Come prepared to ground with light breathwork, roll up your sleeves, pick up a shovel, paint signs and sink your fingers into the rich soil...we promise this will be a collaborative and memorable experience, for all ages, orientations, and abilities. We ask that each participant register individually, even if you are in the same party. Thank you in advance for respecting safe practices and honoring each other's COVID precautions while on site. BYO water bottle + gloves if you have them. Harvest lunch will be provided! We look forward to more safe, shared time outdoors! El Santuario es un jardín de sanación centrado en negros, asiáticos, indígenas y latinos que trabaja para activar las conexiones comunitarias a través de la tierra, la comida, el bienestar y el arte. Crystal Lake es un bosque recreativo, que incluye un lago de captura y liberación y la ruta de senderismo Snake Hill, ubicado en el corazón de la ciudad de Newburgh. Venga preparado para aterrizar con una respiración ligera, arremangarse, levantar una pala y hundir los dedos en la madre tierra... les prometemos que esta será una experiencia colaborativa y memorable, para tod@s las edades, orientaciones y habilidades. Pedimos que cada participante se registre individualmente, incluso si está en el mismo partido. Gracias de antemano por respetar las prácticas seguras y honrar las precauciones de COVID de los demás mientras están en el sitio. Botella de agua te permite traer tu pripia bedida alcohólica + guantes si los tienes. ¡Se proporcionará almuerzo de cosecha! ¡Esperamos más tiempo seguro y compartido al aire libre!
