SOMA Breath Instructor Andy Rubiano takes us on an ancient ritual to a healthy, inspiring evening featuring heart-opening cacao, ecstatic dance, breathwork and more. Cacao ceremonies have been described as “heart-opening” in ancient Mayan texts. Further, cacao contains theobromine — a cardiac stimulant that both relaxes the blood vessels and stimulates the heart. Through opening the heart by consuming the sacred cacao elixir, we further the ability to release any past traumas or heartbreaks we’re holding onto in our hearts, reconnect to love, and further connect to our deepest desires. This session will bring you into a heightened state of consciousness, joy, energy, and connection. Cacao is known for its heart-opening characteristics which help to release past traumas and open our hearts to reconnect with love. As a community, we will release stress and negative emotions through movement and dance. We will then be led in a grounding and relaxation sequence. Our evening is completed by breathwork featuring SOMA Breath techniques. With each breath we take together in community, we will move closer and closer to connecting with your heart's deepest truth as you connect with your soul in this ancient and profound form of Pranayama. REPARATION: Arrive with an empty stomach and loose, comfortable clothing. Avoid perfume or strong scents.
