Locally owned businesses play a significant role in building healthy communities and are among the best engines that cities and towns have for advancing economic opportunity. The City of Statesboro Business Commission seeks to understand how barriers such as municipal policies and procedures may impede our local businesses' growth and development.
The Commission will host a series of listening sessions for business owners to voice opportunities and challenges. These sessions will aid in formulating recommendations to the city council to strengthen efforts to foster a community where local businesses can thrive.
The first listening session will be on April 24, 2023, at 6 p.m. Please register.
The listening session will feature the following:
• The Business Commission (overview)
• Challenges/Solutions of small businesses within the City of Statesboro (open discussions)
• An overview of available small business resources.
