Join the CB Mural Project and help celebrate the installation of Mural Artist JEKS_NC's "Tribute to Carolina Shag" on Tuesday, April 25 from 4 pm-7 pm at 100 N Lake Park Blvd (Raleigh Alley). RAIN DATE is Wednesday, April 26 from 4 pm -7 pm. We will have a DJ spinning Beach Music and a dance floor to show off all your best Shag moves. Meet Artist JEKS and pose in front of the new 25’ H x 52' L mural that shares the history of Shag dancing from the juke joints of Sea Breeze which influenced Malcom “Chicken” Hicks, who brought the freestyle dancing and his love of Rhythm & Blues to Carolina Beach Boardwalk and iconic Ocean Plaza. Next door, The Dive will offer several $10 basket entrees and drink specials. Your ticket covers your entry to the Alley Party and includes 1 Miller Lite draft beer or house wine . There will be limited outdoor come & go seating for guests with wristbands. Over 21 please and ID's will be checked. We will post other CB restaurant specials as they become available. After Party from 7 pm- 10 pm at SeaWitch Tiki Bar, located at 227 Carolina Beach Ave N. SeaWitch will be spinning Beach Music to keep the celebration going. The SeaWitch is home to Mural #4 "Record Weekend" by Artist Sharon Dowell. "Tribute to Carolina Shag" is fully sponsored by Donna & Rusty Hosaflook. What about Parking? It's the beach! CB Parking lots charge $5 per hour or $25 per day (Lots with no time restriction) from 9 am-8 pm. Private parking lots in CB charges vary.
