General admission. Doors open at 6:00pm for this free red carpet premiere screening of Simple Mercies, a faith-based film directed by Karen Elizabeth and co-written by Christy Henry. Starring André Cazenave, Dawson Krug, and Chad Crenshaw with Dawn Linneman, Abby Knoettgen, Abigail Sharp and Scott Russell. Cinematography by Wayne Gassmann of Gassmann Media. Karen Elizabeth crewed and produced many projects, including several features films, since 2011. She previously co-directed two award-winning short films with Davis DeRock for the timed competition 48 Hour Film Project. Simple Mercies is her first solo directorial film. Following the screening, the brief Q & A with the director, cast, and crew will be a guided discussion emceed by Jason Hudson (director of the feature films Accidental Family and Christmas at the Chateau) and Tisha Swart-Entwistle (director of the Leavenworth, KS, First City Film Festival.
