Books are as much a part of a Witch’s cauldron of tools as bells and candles, herbs and besoms! If you want to discover what a Book Witch keeps stored on their ever-expanding magickal shelves, you must attend this Zoom event! Blue Cobweb Witch wishes to share some of her favourite, edifying, satisfying and just fabulously fun volumes with you. Her goal is to share why she loves these books, and reasons why you will wish to add them to your own bookcase! She will review four of her best-loved Witchy reference books with you – books that helped Blue Cobweb begin her magickal practise – to construct and compose spells, learn about the guiding spirits of Witches and Covens, assemble an altar, study Witchy ethics, create her first Grimoire - and so much more! She hopes that these books will inspire you to pursue your own Craft further, down different, daring, dangerous and decadent (!) paths. Blue Cobweb will then share reviews of two of her Witch fictional series - most magickal and delightful and inspiring escapist reading indeed. She would love to someday host a fan fiction event for one of her chosen series…. There will be time for Q&A after each section, and Blue Cobweb will also share the bibliography of her Witch books - non-fiction, historical, fiction, and some that defy classification! And Blue Cobweb Witch is looking forward to another Book Witch to fly forward and make this event into a series!! About the presenter: Donna (Blue Cobweb) is a proud feminist abortion activist, writer (in 2022, she self-published her first ‘zine, You Don’t Own Me), dog mum, and ‘came out’ as a Witch in 2019 - after identifying as a Witch most of her life. She always felt an affinity with Malificent in ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and the ‘Wicked Witch’ in ‘The Wizard of Oz’. Her preferred method of spellcasting is with candles and herbs; she is deeply happy with writing her own spells. Some of her other favourite things are reading, music, her canine familiar Cobweb, finding release through art, and fighting the heteronormative misogynist racist patriarchy! She also absolutely adores absorbing the marvelously witchy atmosphere of Coven 2.0.
