Most of us know something about George Washington. The real story of our first president of the United States is more nuanced and interesting than what you might think. Join the Canton Historical Society for a special event on Sunday, April 16, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Canton Public Library, 786 Washington Street.
Our featured speaker, Dr. Gary Highlander, will provide us with a richer, deeper understanding of the man and his presidency. Refreshments served.
This event will feature tea and light refreshments. Seating is limited and advance ticket reservations are highly recommended. Suggested donation - $6.00 (members) and $10.00 (non-members).
Our SpeakerGary Highlander, PhD.
Gary earned his PhD at Boston College and has been a professor of history at Framingham State University and Stonehill College, as well as a public affairs commentator on local cable news and radio. He knows American history inside and out, has an amazing recall of details and facts and is as much fun to watch as he is to hear.
