Are you interested in learning more about officiating a roller derby bout? Do you just love roller derby and want to get in for free? Do you just love stats!? Have you helped out in the past, but are interested in other positions? This is the best way to get you closest to the action without being on skates! The Boomington Blockheads welcomes veteran Roller Derby Official Jon Fansler as an instructor on Sunday April 16th. He will go over all the various positions available for Non-Skating officials (penalty timer, penalty line tracker, jam timer, scorekeeper, etc.). He will go over how to fill out the appropriate forms associated with some of these positions. These forms are important in they line out basically what we need to work on to improve and be the BEST roller derby team we can be! Then the Blockheads will scrimmage a bit while you work on your officiating skills in real time! Date: Sunday April 16th Time: 10:30am-12:30pm This workshop is limited to 10 people. We hope you can attend and also that you will be able to join us at our upcoming bout on April 22nd as an NSO or other volunteer (ticket taking, merch sales, security...etc).
