Traditional Celebratory Donations! For Buddhist celebrations in Sri Lanka it is customary for the community to make a donation to show gratitude for the triple gem: Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha. For Vesakha Day this year, we are offering handmade lanterns as a way for you to donate and carry a lantern during the parade! We will reuse these each year in hopes that we can keep the appreciation for the temple celebrations strong. If you would like to make a donation and carry these beautiful lanterns, we have two sizes: small and large. The cost to donate a small lantern is $15, and a large lantern is $25. Please note, the lanterns will be returned back to the temple to be reused for further celebrations!
