What’s one of your favorite memories from going to college at an HBCU in the 90’s? The sweat box and gym jams!College was ‘A Different World’ for many of us where we made lifelong friends, studied, partied and matured - all while advancing our education. Come out Memorial Day Weekend and celebrate the 90’s at a day party with an ol‘ school college vibe sponsored by the Charlotte Metro Chapter of the Norfolk State University Alumni Association (NSUAA). Represent your in your HBCU gear, Divine 9 colors, biker shorts or Cross Colour jeans, high top fades or even your flip up glasses like Dwayne Wayne. Whatever you decide to wear, be sure to brush up on your old school dance skills and come prepared to sweat it out with DJ 06 on the wheels of steel. A cigar patio will be open with a selection of cigars for purchase by 1216 Cigar Lounge. Food, libations and laughs will flow to keep the energy going! 50/50 Raffle (so bring some cash - the bursar and financial aid office will be closed for the holiday) TICKETS PREREGISTRATION - Limited Early Bird Tickets available for those at the ‘head of the class’ OPEN ENROLLMENT - for those that missed the early bird special LATE REGISTRATION - Limited number of tickets available the day of the event for those that may have gotten caught up in the financial aid line.
