Description

Cities in the Central Valley have some of the nation’s worst air quality, failing to meet federal health standards for both ozone and particulate pollution. Residents in disadvantaged communities have fewer resources to adapt to air quality conditions- and it’s time to make sure they are being heard! We the EnviroVoters Ed Fund Ambassadors- are hosting our first ever Air Quality Townhall for our WE CAN Campaign aka, Water Equity and Clean Air Now. Our campaign is tackling the severe inequities surrounding water and clean air in communities- by placing young people at the forefront of our fight. By joining us in person on April 25th, you are raising awareness of the poor air quality that our communities are currently facing, learning new ways to have an active voice, and helping us advocate for a youth-led climate board that will give young people a voice in local decision-making to achieve environmental justice for our communities! Our guest speaker will be announced very soon, but we will be having a special guest join us to discuss the poor air quality our cities are facing, how we can make a change, and the direct actions we can take in this fight! We hope you take the time to attend and learn more about the issues affecting our community members. Join us for some light snacks, refreshments and a gift card raffle! In-person attendance is highly recommended. Come raise awareness of the Central Valley’s poor air quality, learn how to activate your voice, and help us advocate for youth representation in local decision-making!
