NASA Days, Minority Serving Institutions, Event• This event is a multi-day event • It is designed to give high school students, educators and college student attending Minority Serving Institutions one-on-one engagement with NASA mentors, managers or senior matter experts • OSTEM and Pathways Internship programs will be discussed in detailed • NASA challenges, competitions, workshops and other unique NASA experiences will be discussed • The first day will be a walk thru of the applications process for OSTEM internship and the Pathways Internship Employment Program. There will be 4 sessions on this subject. Students only need to attend 1 session. Multiple sessions are provided to accommodate students’ schedules. The second day in the morning there will be a repeat walk thru of the applications process for OSTEM internship and the Pathways Internship Employment Program. There will be 2 sessions on this subject, Again, students only need to attend 1 session. Multiple sessions are provided to accommodate students’ schedules. • The second day in the afternoon there will be a gathering for meet and greet and an overview of the NASA organizations represented by NASA mentors/managers/subject matter experts supporting the event • The third day is an informational/practice interview and resume/application review designed to give students one on one with a NASA mentors/managers/subject matter experts supporting the event. The Students will receive feedback on their interview performances, resumes, academics, and career paths. Interviews are limited to 25 minutes per student. Students are requested to attend one of the workshops to sign up for an interview. Students are also requested to have an updated resume Agenda: Day 1, Tuesday, April 18, 2023: (Bldg CSEL, Room 121 Session 1: 9:00am-10:00am Session 2: 10:15am-11:15am Session 3: 1pm-2:00pm Session 4: 2:15pm-315pm. Four repeated information/workshop sessions on the OSTEM and Pathways Programs: Multiple sessions are provided to accommodate students’ schedules. Student only need to attend one session. Students interested in interviewing can sign up for a Day 3 time slot during this time. Day 2, Wednesday morning, April 19, 2023: (Bldg CSEL, Room 121) Session 1: 9:00am-10:00am Session 2: 10:15am-11:15am Two repeated information/workshop sessions on the OSTEM AND Pathways programs: Multiple sessions are provided to accommodate students’ schedules. Student only need to attend one session. Students interested in interviewing can sign up for a Day 3 time slot during this time. Day 2, Wednesday afternoon, April 19, 2023: 2:00pm: Networking, Meet&Greet (CSEL 121): A networking gathering is held to provide students, faculty, and administrators insight into the goals and objectives of the represented NASA/KSC organizations and the type of student opportunities available. It also provides an opportunity for students to engage with NASA/KSC managers/staff in a small group setting Days 3, Thursday, April 20, 2023: 9:00am-4:30pm-Interviews with NASA/KSC managers/staff(CSEL 2nd floor Interview rooms): The final day is dedicated to student interviews, conducted by the NASA/KSC managers/staff. Students receive feedback on their interview performances, resumes, academics, and career paths. Interviews are limited to 25 minutes per student. Students are requested to attend one of the workshops to sign up for an interview.
