The Newport News (VA) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated invites you to the Dr. Christine Mann Darden National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Jr. Chapter closing ceremony. NSBE Jr., the pre-college initiative program, is designed to stimulate interest in science , technology, engineering, arts and mathematics or STEAM. Nationally, the Links Incorporated and NSBE have partnered to promote and facilitate STEM/STEAM education and career readiness for minority students. This collaboration aligns closely with the Links’ theme “Transforming Communities – Fulfilling Our Purpose”. NSBE is the largest student-run organizations in the United States, with core activities on improving the recruitment and retention of minority engineers for both academia and industry. Ms. Gabby McDaniel, of the Hampton University Chapter of NSBE, will be the keynote speaker and several of the student participants with share their fondest NSBE Jr. activities. Please join the Newport News (VA) Chapter of the Links, Incorporate as they celebrate the outstanding NSBE Jr. student participants. The closing ceremony will held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 3p.m. at the Paul and Rosemary Trible Library on the campus of Christopher Newport University, 1 Avenue of The Arts, Newport News, VA 23606.
