Saturday, April 22 | 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Fairland & Villa Heights in NW Roanoke Gather at CAFE - 1707 Cove Rd, NW 24017 Plan now to participate as the Virginia Western - Northwest Collaborative: United for Impact celebrates Earth Day 2023. This community-wide event welcomes individuals as well as non-profits, service clubs, schools, and churches to participate in this cleanup and beautification initiative. The Villa Heights and Fairland neighborhoods are the target area where volunteers will be picking up litter from yards, parks, streets, and other public areas. Community youths participating in this civic engagement event may apply for a series of community service scholarships sponsored by the Alliance for Excellence and the Fairland Civic Organization. Virginia Western’s NW Collaborative will provide plants and Clean Valley Roanoke will provide gloves, grabbers, and orange bags.
