In honor of Mother's Day,Our Mother's Day Brunch is a fundraising event that has been planned and created for mothers and other women who want to prepare financially for their own future and/or that of their family/children. In a room full of other women interested in expanding their knowledge around investing, we aim to provide a comfortable space for all to participate and ask questions openly. Over coffee, mimosas & cocktails, and your favorite brunch foods, we'll present our Introduction to Investing in a casual and fun atmosphere. The Stock Sisters' Introduction to Investing is an educational tool to help those already with investments or those who are interested in getting started, but need guidance. We’ve always prioritized educating our clients and have seen the personal growth it's fostered for them. We want to pass that onto you in hopes that you’ll choose to pursue investing even further from here. That's why we’ve taken our combined 25 years of experience in working with clients as Financial Advisors and carefully selected topics we feel will lay the foundation to investing for you: Step by step how to get started with investingTypes of investment accounts including your college planning optionsTypes of investments including stocks and life insurance Costs related to investingUnderstanding risks and determining which investments are suitable for youWe're also bringing in a guest speaker, Elena Vizvary, Esq. of The Parents Estate Planning Law Firm, PC of Acton, MA to talk about some basic steps parents can take to protect their children including: The most important legal documents you should have in place and whyWays to plan and leave your legacy outside of just financiallyHow Life Insurance affects your estate and financial planAfter the presentation and brunch are complete, the bar will remain open and we invite you to stick around and unwind. We'll have music, dessert, and will open the doors to the private patio for some fresh air. We'll also be doing giveaways with gifts including spa/massage gift cards, restaurant gift cards, and pampering gift sets. Bring a friend! We just ask that they also register so we can maintain an accurate headcount. No need to bring anything as far as documents. What if I can't get there in time or have to leave early? That's ok! Feel free to email us with your plans so we know what to expect. If you miss part of the presentation, we can email you a copy and still give you the printed handout to take home. Should I attend if I am not a mother? Yes! We encourage any woman who wants to learn about investing to attend this event. This event is 21+, but your marital status, and whether or not you have children does not matter. Who are The Stock Sisters? Samantha Scott and Jessica Scott are sisters and female financial advisors who own and operate Scott Advisory Group out of Framingham, MA. We work with clients, both male and female to prepare for retirement and other life goals through investing. Who is Elena Vizvary? Elena Vizvary is an attorney with The Parents Estate Planning Law Firm in Acton, MA. She helps parents, empty nesters, and anybody in between to ensure their loved ones are protected through estate planning processes. Who is Abby's House? Abby’s House is a nonprofit organization that provides shelter and affordable housing, as well as advocacy and support services, to homeless, battered, and low-income women.
