Meditation is a private retreat from the problems of the world. The goal of meditation is to cultivate a state of effortless awareness, in which one is fully present in the moment, without any sense of effort or striving. Through meditation, we come in contact with regions beyond that transport us into a state of perpetual calm and joy.
