Description
Join The Third Place and business leaders from the Portland Regional Chamber for a fun-filled evening of networking and connection. This event is an important part of the the Chamber's Collective Business Racial Equity Initiative which identifies four high level pillars : BIPOC Community Networking, Shared Racial Equity Education, Pipeline Programs for High School/College students and Building Cross Sector Relationships. The mutual priorities of the Chamber and The Third Place are an opportunity for both organizations to maximize their impact in the community. For the last two years, the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce has been working alongside leaders in BIPOC communities and business leaders to develop permanent and sustainable strategies to systemize racial equity and justice. However, this initiative is not just about building our local workforce, but an effort to create and sustain meaningful relationships with individuals and organizations in the BIPOC community. Registration through this Eventbrite link is for individuals in The Third Place network who identify as Black, Indigenous, or members of other communities of color. All spouses or partners are welcome to attend with network participants. Otherwise, this is not a "plus one" event due to space limitations. All participants must be registered using their own names and email addresses. Participation is limited to 50 Third Place members and 50 Chamber members. Any duplicate registrations will be removed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us through Eventbrite by clicking "CONTACT THE ORGANIZER". We wish to ensure that the BIPOC community is well-represented. The Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce is issuing its own invitations to members of the business community who have participated in this initiative. ***What to Expect*** - Networking and Musical Performance - Brief overview of Chamber's Collective Business Racial Equity Initiative and The Third Place Strategic Impact Plan - Network, Music, Food and Drink - Door Prize Give Aways
