Join Casey Trees for a light one hour walk to highlight sustainable development within the neighborhood context. Reservation 13 is one of the last remaining large-scale waterfront developments in the District and this will be a unique opportunity to see the completion of Phase 1 and discuss the future for the remaining parcels. Attendees will walk from Congressional Cemetery along 19th Street to the Reservation 13 development site. We will discuss current development trends and what elements are most important when considering river health, neighborhood cohesiveness and walkability. Where to meet: We will meet at Congressional Cemetery, located at 1801 E St SE, Washington, DC 20003 Time: We will be onsite for check-in starting at 10:00am What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes, your own lunch, and maybe some coffee or tea to enjoy while you walk! Getting there We will meet at Congressional Cemetery. Address: 1801 E St SE, Washington, DC 20003 Public Transportation: The closest metro stop is Potomac Ave, on the blue, orange, and silver lines. Additionally, the nearest metro bus stop is Potomac Ave SE & E St SE, served by bus B2. Parking: Limited street parking is available. We encourage public transportation, ride share, biking, etc. Biking: Bikes can be locked to nearby signs and structures. COVID-19 Policy: Casey Trees is now requiring all attendees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend our events. One of the following options will demonstrate proof of vaccination: - A physical Center for Disease Control (CDC) Vaccination Card - A digital copy/photo of a CDC Vaccination Card - A COVID-19 Verification App such as VaxYes or CLEAR Please bring a photo ID and one of the above listed options to provide proof of vaccination. You may not be asked to show proof of vaccination during our outdoor event, however, you may need to show proof of vaccination to use any indoor facilities.
