Founded on the campus of Howard University in 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is America’s first Greek-letter organization established by Black college women. The organization has more than 355,000 members worldwide.
Xi Sigma Omega Chapter was chartered on June 11, 1983, and for the past forty years has sustained an incredible legacy through the tenets of Sisterhood and Service, in Montgomery County, Maryland. Xi Sigma Omega has provided extraordinary community service through its partnership with various organizations, such as National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI), Journeys Crossing, American Cancer Society, Sisters Network, Inc., and the College Garden Elementary School.
During the luncheon we will recognize other community organizations that exemplify our key initiatives of Empowering our Families, Building Economic Wealth, Enhancing our Environment, Advocating Social Justice and Uplifting our Local Community.
