College was wonderful (some of my closest friends and Alpha Phi sorority sisters are still current clients of mine (including my college roommate, Hi Lara!) and set me up for success setting out on my own as I had a baseline understanding of marketing + business. But I wanted something more than sitting at a desk… So I went from managing a local salon’s social presence to packing my bags for New York City to learn how to master hair. I graduated from the Aveda Institute SoHo in New York City. I earned honors and advanced out of curriculum training for my quick grasp on both color theory & technique. After Aveda, I went on to work with top stylists in both VA, DC and NYC. While in New York City, I was blessed enough to be able to work under a master colorist I was introduced too by a high school friend of mine, Benny Blanco aka Ben Levin if you’re a local. As the lead assistant to Chelsey Pickthorn, Davines Master Colorist & Educator, and assisted on color work for Yves Saint Laurent, New York Fashion Week, Givency, Glossier, musical bangs and more. Those connections have led me to work on freelance projects in San Diego & Los Angeles, as well as the East Cost. Fun Fact: My cousin Chloé is a Fashion Stylist, and you make have seen her on Keeping Up With The Khardashians, working with Kendall Jenner. Learn More: www.salvehair.com
