About the Tiling 101 workshop: This tiling course will begin by outlining project planning including material selection and takeoffs. The class will then cover installation techniques for various tile underlayments and laying tile for the most popular homeowner tile projects. This will include various cutting methods and tools uses, proper trowel sizes and techniques, and grouting tips. About the teacher: Natalie Foy (she/her) got her start in construction in 2013 after joining AmeriCorps with Habitat for Humanity in Cincinnati. Following her year of service, Natalie joined Habitat as a construction staff member and worked as a Site Superintendent until early 2020. After working for a Cincinnati based design-build company and furthering her education, Natalie now works for a design-build company in Bloomington, Indiana where she resides with her husband and her dog. About Do It Yourself Darlin Workshops: All Do It Yourself Darlin Workshops are geared towards beginners, open to anyone age 16+, and taught by local Cincinnati craftspeople. DIYD is a program of the non-profit CDC Price Hill Will. All of DIYD’s funding comes from grants, sponsorships, donations, and workshop ticket sales.
