Wild Oak Circle is excited to welcome Gabrielle Dietrich from Beija Flor Handmade to lead us in preparing ingredients for a soup, containing all the colors of the rainbow. She will share the concept of nutrition through food the rainbow of colors. This class will count towards the cooking badge requirements for each Scout level. We will split the $50 class fee evenly by number of Scouts/gyest Scouts attending, to be Venmo'd to our Circle Leader at the meeting. We will start our meeting with a reading of the traditional story, Stone Soup. Stones will be provided for Scouts to take home to use when cooking their ingredients for their family's dinner following this meeting. This book will also fulfill a cooking badge requirement for Scouts. SNACK OFFICER: OPEN - SIGN UP HERE PLEASE RSVP by April 6th. We will be using this headcount for Scout families to sign up to bring the ingredients for our Stone Soup. On April 7th, families will receive an email with the link to sign up to bring the ingredients. Please sign up for the ingredients your family can bring no later than March 10th. If you RSVP AFTER April 6th, please bring the ingredients for your Scout/Child to make their soup. Soup Ingredients (per child): 1/2 onionCarrot2 celery3 mushroom2 cloves of garlicpotato (I recommend a purple potato, for full rainbow)1/2 sweet potatoZucchini3 kale leaves (dino kale is a favorite)1c pumpkin puree (about 1/2 can)1/2 can of garbanzo or other bean1 tbsp tomato puree
