Dear Soul Music Co partnered with Huntersville Parks and Rec presents the final installment of the Jazz in the Park Concert Series. Our show's line up includes: Kevin Carter (Solo Act): Charlotte, NC born singer-songwriter MercuryCarter is a vocalist of boundless talents. His raw, powerful and operatically tinged voice allows him to pursue increasingly epic song structures, while his instrumental skills ensure an organic listening experience. Pursuing musical endeavors since 2015, Carter has already proven himself to be one of the greatest and most distinguishable voices of this generation. Utilizing both his knowledge and passion for the genres that inspire him; most notably the golden ages of jazz and soul; he has created a sound that will stand the test of time. With his exceptional pitch, 3.5 octave range, and unique phrasing, Carter provides sound and color that will infinitely satisfy all music lovers for generations to come. https://www.mercurycartermusic.com Stefan Kallander & Quilttop (Full-Band): Born in Seattle and growing up in Charlotte, NC, Stefan Kallander was infected with the musical bug across many genres from an early age. Rock gave way to Blues, which gave way to Funk, which gave way to Gospel, then Jazz, and on and on. This exploration has developed Stefan into a unique voice on the guitar, both as a performer and a songwriter. He is known as the curator of the monthly funk series 'House of Funk' in Charlotte, NC, as well as international touring guitarist for Satsang, member of Quentin Talley & The Soul Providers, Menastree, and solo performer of his own music and unique arrangements of crowd favorites. Drawing from the group members’ collectively diverse music backgrounds-from R&B to Rock to Bluegrass to symphonic music the group comes together as the Nexus Jazz Group. The Nexus sound is sometimes earthy, sometimes bluesy, and always progressive. The band is from Charlotte, NC. ARSENA (Host, Dear Soul Music Co. Founder): ARSENA is an independent recording artist with R&B and singer-songwriter influences. Based out of Charlotte, NC, this multi-talented singer-songwriter is known for her star-quality and heartfelt tunes — think India Arie meets Alicia Keys with introspective lyrical content and music that infuses her multi-instrumentalist capabilities on guitar and piano. Her 3rd full-length album, "Metamorphosis: The Evolution of Arsena" is scheduled to release with a live show at Middle C Jazz - May 21 with a full-band performance music directed by Curt Keyz.
