Description
Every May, Seymour Conservatory (at Wright Park) and Silver Linings Integrative Health, LLC partner to co-host this wonderful event. Local yoga teachers gather to serve the community and offer exposure to different styles of yoga. All funds collected from ticket sales (minus Eventbrite fees) are evenly divided among the instructors. You will also have an opportunity to donate directly to an instructor on the day of the event. Yoga is not merely for our bodies, but rather Yoga is for our bodies, minds, hearts and souls. Union of breath with the body, union of the mind with the muscles, and most importantly union of the self with the divine. Yoga is not a religion. It does not require you to believe in a certain God or chant certain mantras. Yoga is an ancient science which leads to health in the body, peace in the mind, joy in the heart, and liberation of the soul. In this several hour immersion and celebration, you have the opportunity to embrace several different styles of yoga and learn from local teachers. Instructors will be set up in various spaces throughout the section of the park nearest the conservatory. DAY OF EVENT PARTICULARS: Every 30 minutes a group will rotate to another instructor, or you may decide to stay with one style for a second rotation. You get to customize your explorations to fit your needs. Or, adopt the preprogrammed route that will guide you through different yoga styles. This guiding map will be available on the day of the event. Please feel free to bring a blanket, towel, mat or chair. We will also have some available.
