Itinerary: 2PM - The Unlimited Experience: 60 minute, intentionally curated, social and community building activity hosted by Marquice Gee of G4 Unlimited3PM - Mindful Moment: 15 minute deep breathing & meditation activity led by Recovery Ray that sets the tone and grounds us for the Moment With Murdock315PM - Moment With Murdock: Murdock will provide an interactive seminar that focuses on "The Art of Providing Value", explaining the three elements of the value proposition equation and information on intellectual property.345PM - Black Owned Pop Up Shop featuring blaCk Owned Outerwear (you will also have the opportunity to purchase Murdock's second e-Book, book G4 Unlimited for your next event and develop a customized wellness plan for 2023 with Recovery Ray)4:30PM - Hard StopThe Story: In September 2018, Murdock was sitting inside his home and jumped on Instagram to share a corny but crucial insight: "Life is a gift, that's why we call it the present." The response was incredibly positive, with his followers engaging and sharing their thoughts on what he shared to his IG Story. Murdock kept this up thru the end of 2018, sharing a "Moment With Murdock" every Sunday afternoon. In 2019, Murdock decided to take these random but relevant moments and turn them into a series called "The Process Towards Progress". He spent the entirety of 2019 talking about how people could use patience, persistence and purpose to achieve progress, one moment at a time. He ended the year taking this digital conversation to a physical space, selling out Black-owned coffee shops in downtown Indianapolis on Saturday nights, sharing his story and creating space for others to do the same. In 2020, he started hosting workshops. The intention was to transition from talking to teaching people how to leverage their story to build their brand, business and/or community. Well, we know how 2020 turned out so he had to pivot. In response the pandemics of public health and police brutality, Murdock began organizing resources for Black entrepreneurs across Indianapolis. From hosting digital conferences to connect entrepreneurs with the resources they needed to grow in a recession to raising tens of thousands of dollars to put right back into the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, he was intentional about creating community during COVID. In response to the call for social distancing, he provided opportunities for Black folks to remain socially proximal while physically distant. He systematized these efforts in 2021 with the creation of two nonprofit organizations: Circle City Storytellers & The Side Hustle Economy Company. These organizations provided safe space for Black folks looking to build their brand, business and community to become exposed, educated and equipped to achieve their entrepreneurial dreams for free using the power in their beautiful, bold and Black story. He ended the year stronger than he started and looked back at everything that had changed since 2020, yearning to bring back the movement that started it all: Moments With Murdock. And then, it clicked! On January 4th, 2022, Murdock launched The Moments With Murdock Mastermind, a community of people who are passionate about leveraging the power in their greatest asset--their story--to build their brand, business and/or community. Every Tuesday in 2022, Murdock taught a Masterclass and every Wednesday he hosted a study hall. Week by week, this community grew and took the City by storm, once again! Just like he shook the City in 2019, he shook the City in 2022 but this time it was bigger and better because he was older and wiser and had been through some things that got him to where he was. In 2023, Murdock's primary goal is to expand. He has seen what value he can provide at home--Indianapolis, Indiana--and wants to take that value to Black folks across the Midwest.
