A JOURNEY WITH MAGNUM PHOTOGRAPHER THOMAS HOEPKER Please join us for DEAR MEMORIES, the unforgettable journey of world-renowned photographer Thomas Hoepker, at the Firehouse Center for the Arts, Thursday, April 27. Reception at 6:00pm followed by the screening at 7:00. Famous for his iconic photographs of Muhammad Ali, the aftermath of 9/11, and much more, Hoepker, now in his 80s, is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. During the pandemic, with the help of his wife, Christine, he set out to recreate the 1963 American road trip that led to his beautiful book “Heartland.” For photography enthusiasts, road-trippers, and those whose lives have been affected by loved ones with memory loss, DEAR MEMORIES is a poignant meditation on chance encounters, keeping a record of your travels, and doing the thing you love.
