Join us for a FREE yoga class at our 2nd Annual Earth Fest, located at Tradition Brewing in Newport News, taught by one of our local yogis! *Must bring own yoga mat/props. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Heather First exposed to yoga during her college years, Heather deepened her practice in 2015, initially as a complement to her more rigorous aerial silks training. Since then, she has come to cherish the presence yoga provides, which now spills into every facet of her life. After relying heavily on her personal practice during the pandemic, she felt the call to share the joy of yoga with others and completed her 200-hour teacher training at Garden of Zen in 2022. CLASS DESCRIPTION: Perfect for beginners, hatha yoga is a series of physical poses and breathing techniques which are practiced at a slower pace than other yoga types, such as Vinyasa yoga which moves at a faster pace to increase body heat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ A festival inspired by Mother Nature herself, this year's Earth Fest is all about exploring how we can invest in our planet, both on a personal and community level. We will have a free community yoga classes, 40+ local vendors, creative/educational workshops, and some of the area's most impactful environmental non-profit organizations providing educational resources for you to actively enjoy!
