Our inaugural African American Conference, Release the Silence: Reducing Memory Health Disparities with Awareness, Education, and Resources, will navigate topics such as: the Alzheimer's and dementia journey, managing the caregiving role and navigating life with a diagnosis. The conference will be taking place in Chicago and we will be livestreaming the event at the Alzheimer's Association's offices in Peoria, IL. This program is designed for those who are caregivers of a person with Alzheimer's, individuals who want to learn more about the disease, and health professionals wanting to learn about health disparities which affect individuals in the African American community.
