I AM Meta The Mission: I AM Meta puts the pen in your hand and casts you as the leading character of your life’s story. With the likelihood of realizing you have outgrown some of your past narratives, I AM Meta provides a playful, interactive storytelling space to edit, undo, write, rewrite, draft, or finalize the personal narrative that serves your unique purpose. I AM Meta uses disruptive innovation to grow community connectives through storytelling and metacognition practices. I AM Meta events inspire personal growth, emotional restoration, and authentic leadership skill building through the Art of story and the Science of empathy. The Vision: The I AM Meta experience provides a safe, social and emotional space where humor and play is encouraged, and human dignity is honored. I AM Meta creates and recreates safe spaces where people can be themselves and lead with their innate state of curiosity. I AM Meta positions people to be a beneficial presence; to be able to hold people in a light of love through restorative practices; to intentionally disrupt and innovate in the meta-cognitive and be the change we are each wanting to see in ourselves. The Why: The human brain is biologically designed to extract meaning from stories and create meaning through previous experiences. Humans like to compartmentalize our meanings into routines and regiments because prediction calms the brain by reducing cognitive efforts, like memory recall. We have the tendency to go on autopilot and lead with unconscious habits. This common human condition puts our personal narratives on Replay. We replay the same narrative over and over, and wonder why we are not gaining deeper connections with others, or a more meaningful connection with ourselves. Sometimes the story we told ourselves years ago is stuck on repeat, but its long-lasting meaning no longer serves the purpose we are living today. Stories are meant to foster, recycle, or grow meaning. It is no coincidence that when we find relevance in another person’s story, the thoughts that spark from connection inspire us to see meaning as an ever evolving storyline–one that shifts, changes, and adapts to the current temperature in the room. When we see our stories as opportunities to grow or evolve meaning, we are able to let go of worn out, unuseful stories that no longer serve our current purpose or evolved understanding of the world. Desired Outcome: To build emotional intelligence through storytelling that introduces problem-solving at the root of shared adversities and living resilience. Rather than working on yourself, or on your relationships, the practice of storytelling reveals the innate ways you are capable of working with various parts of yourself and with diverse relationships. How we nurture our natural traits will grow (or stunt) our shifting states. The practice of metacognition produces a high level of conscious thought processing and engages our authentic state of curiosity into meaning-making storytelling. We empower each other to have the choice in how we tell the stories we tell ourselves and the meanings we weave together. ©2023 All rights reserved I Am Meta LLC [email protected] Heather Rine is the Founder of I Am Meta LLC and is committed to serving individuals by mentoring from their present circumstances, into their limitless potential using mindset innovation and a cutting-edge approach to individual soul work and business restructuring.
