School Safety Officers lead the School District's work in fostering safe, secure, and supportive learning environments. In addition to being guardians for our schools, Officers are also mentors and champions of our students. For experienced Officers there are a variety of specialized opportunities, such as the leadership of a Police Athletic League Center or serving on the Mediation Response Team. All training and certification is paid and provided for new Officers. The starting salary for 10-month School Safety Officers is $32,863. Per the collective bargaining agreement for this role, new School Safety Officers' salary will increase to $33,849, effective 9/1/23.
