Description

Hemlock Bluffs sits on a bluff overlooking Swift Creek in the heart of Cary. For years, the 140-acre preserve and its 3 miles of hiking trail has served as an escape for local residents, young and old. Julie von Haefen of Wake County. 10 a.m.-noon -- Trail workday. Help keep the preserve in tip-top shape by participating in a two-hour workday. Registration is required, by going here. 10 a.m.-noon -- Guided hikes of the preserve will be held following the opening remarks. 10:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. -- Beginning Birding with the NC Wildlife Resources Commission's NC Bird Atlas.
