The Afterschool Sewing Lessons are ongoing. They are 1.5-hour classes that meet once a week. Each sewing session teaches your child how to sew on a regular home sewing machine and sometimes by hand. They receive a thorough understanding of the process. This class is designed for children between the ages of 7 - 12. (If your child has not sewn before, you may opt for the 5-6 class first.) This class teaches all of the basic parts of the machine and how to use them. The students are supervised and instructed how to use the machine. They will be taught how to sew a project that they can wear and one for a doll, if they like. If you already have sewing supplies, please bring them to class. Below are the supplies that they'll need to get started: (3) yards of fashion fabric (woven, cotton and/or cotton blends. No knits please)matching threadnotionssewing toolssafety glasses for kidsportable sewing machine**The sewing machine is not included. We are using the Juki HZL-LB5020. This is a great machine for kids because it is scalable and has all of the basic components for dressmaking as well as lightweight home furnishing with a speed control option. Please see below: Age This class is for children between the ages of 7 and 12. Refund Policy You can pay for this class by the session or by the month. If you pay by the month and have to cancel prior to the start of any class, you will receive a full refund. After class starts, your refund will be prorated minus administration fee. Please allow up to 7 business days to receive your refund. COVID All students and staff are required to wear masks whether vaccinated or not.
