Field Guide: Steve Carbol Through a partnership with Audubon Everglades and the South Florida Water Management District we are offering an escorted birding trip to Stormwater Treatment Area 1E located off Flying Cow Road. Visitors will have a great opportunity to experience Florida's native wildlife and summer birds in the midst of this 6,562-acre Stormwater treatment area. This is a Car tour that stops frequently for field views of sightings. Please note* STA 1 East does not have bathrooms or porta-potty. The closest restrooms' are located below: There is a strip mall at B Road and Southern Blvd with the following: 7-11 15589 Southern Blvd Loxahatchee Groves, FL Dunkin Doughnuts Dunkin Doughnuts 15689 Southern Blvd Loxahatchee Groves, FL Registration: is required through Audubon Everglades. Please RSVP your vehicle full of attendees as one 1 ticket. Example: Mary Young & Scott Zucker are riding together, register 1 If you are an individual or group that needs to be placed in a car, Paula Gatrell our Field Trip leader will help place you in one. If you are an individual that would like to drive, please contact Paula and she will help place people in your car. Every participant needs to print and sign (including your address) the South Florida Water Management Liability Release. Please bring it with you to the trip, this is mandatory to attend. The form can be located here.There will be a shared eBird list. Please make every effort to be on time. Allow for traffic and GPS misdirection's. Once the gates are closed and locked, we cannot return to open them. If you need to cancel, please cancel your own ticket.
