05 May, 2023

Description

Rose van Der Berg, Drew Sappington and Natalie Beltrami will recount the lore about Florida’s heritage through story and song in the lovely gardens of the St. Augustine Historical Society Research Library Courtyard located at the corner of Aviles Street and Artillery Lane – just a short walk from King Street. Parking is available behind the library on Artillary Lane. The event is free to the public. ROSE VAN DER BERG is a dynamic teller whose stories uplift, amuse, and inspire all ages in exploring the heart and humor of the human condition. She has been a featured presenter at the Florida Storytelling Festival, a Orlando Story Club Grand Champion, and Featured Finalist in the national Great American Story Competition. DREW SAPPINGTON has worked a variety of odd jobs - at least they seemed odd to him. These include college professor, pest control guy, ward administrator in a mental hospital, researcher, bouncer at a teenage nightclub, and clinical psychologist. He is the author of "Hidden History in St. Augustine" and regales all with his knowledge of Florida heritage. NATALIE BELTRAMI is an artist, actor, and storyteller. She believes our stories are the threads that create the fabric of our lives. When we reflect on them, we see the rich pattern of who we are. When we see them, we see we are all pieces of the same garment. Performances include Limelight Theatre shows, festivals and libraries.
