Unearth, a movement practice tethered to the heart. Unearth is intended to open, reveal, and make accessible those matters, great and small, that lie dormant within. Whether it is pain, joy, sorrow, delight, anger, unforgiveness, freedom, numbness, or unbelief; the intention of unearth is to excavate, offer, and receive. The arc of the practice nurtures honesty, revelation, and physical freedom, in turn inviting the whole person to fully integrate. Each offering is threaded with creative modalities that touch all five senses, intending to activate all neural pathways to receive and encounter something new. In an hour and fifteen minutes, one can expect to be physically energized, strengthened, and mobilized, brought into better awareness with themselves, and offered spiritual insights to meditate on well beyond the class. The arc of this practice is weighted thoughtfully between vigor and rest, beginning grounded, lifting into vitality and release, and ending opened and still. All that is needed is a floor mat and shoes (if desired.) The particulars of one’s specific body will determine the intensity of the physical exertion. Modifications to adapt up or down the intensity ladder are offered throughout. All bodies, ages, and abilities are welcome. Unearth serves all individuals. each class has a suggested value of $25. individuals can pay what compels them, resulting in everyone being able to access this offering while supporting and sustaining this effort.
