At the BLACKLIT Bookstore, every day is a good day to BUY BLACK. Join us for a day of community, collaboration, and celebration as we launch our Small Business Saturday marketplace. Come to support and stay for the vibes! BLACKLIT is home to the first monthly subscription box to exclusively highlight both Black authors & entrepreneurs. Recently, BLACKLIT opened the doors to its first brick-and-mortar location and the first bookstore in the city of Farmers Branch. Founded by local educator & diversity/inclusion advocate, Nia-Tayler Clark, BLACKLIT’s mission is to help close the literacy gap, increase representation, and cultivate conversations that bring unity across racial divides. BLACKLIT provides both readers and non-readers of all races/backgrounds with an incentive to read.
